The Adventures of Scoobernut and Doopendoo

Scoobernut and Doopendoo are names uttered by my sister when we were young children.

Over time, we used the names interchangeably to refer to each other or to pets.

On a family camping trip, someone said Scoobernut and Doopendoo would be a great name for a book.

The story was born on the car ride home. I turned to my fianc, who was driving, and said, I have it!

What about a squirrel and a nut who become best friends?

He loved the idea. I immediately called my sister and brother-in-law, and they both loved it too.

From there, I was off. I hope that the bond these two unlikely characters form and the adventures they have together will create fond memories for parents and children alike.
