"Yes my dear, it is. I'm sorry to say that it is," she finally whispered between the fingers of her hands. "The reason why we have such terrible wars and awful disasters is for one reason only, and that is because the evil predators escaped. If they had all remained locked away inside Exilia as they were meant to be, then the world would never have known of the evils that plague us today. If they hadn't managed to escape as they did, then you my children would be living in a world of peace and tranquillity. A world without war or famine, and a world within which disease or disasters were completely unknown.


After then slowly raising her wrinkled old face from the palms of her trembling old hands to gaze warmly into the faces of the three bewildered children, she had continued to look deep into their worried eyes with a thoughtful frown that caused her own eyes to squint. She speedily drummed her fingers against the arms of her chair in an otherwise silent room until finally, a long and heavy sigh had warned them that she was about to say something, and her croaking voice had once again begun crackling with slow determined words.


"But now you've found the key my dears," she'd smiled while gasping with relief. "And with your help things can now change!"
