Satellite Fever

Orbiting around the earth, are hundreds of man-made satellites.

This book explains their functions and how they are made to work outside the earth's atmosphere, where it is 150 degrees Centigrade in the sun, and minus 273 degrees in the shade.

It looks at possible future ventures of satellites, exploring Saturn, the sun and the comet "Wirtanen", and maybe even being delivered into orbit by space planes that would cross the world in under two hours.
