Ben Franklin Parker Jr. is a typical farmer and part-time preacher in rural Oklahoma in 1940. He survived the Depression and is focusing all his efforts on providing for his family and contributing to his community. But that's when tragedy strikes.

His thirteen-year-old daughter, Lavada, dies of pneumonia. Out of tragedy, however, he finds a new mission when he hears God call him to preach far and wide. God tells Ben that his daughter will be looked after until he joins her in heaven.

Having heard God's message, Ben begins preaching with vigor, becoming a circuit preacher to a group of six small churches in south-central Oklahoma, most of which are meeting in local one and two-room schoolhouses.

Join Ben as he takes tragedy and uses it as an impetus to bring the word of God to his neighbors in a story that chronicles a way of life long since lost. A man's word is as binding as a contract and family values, history and Americana are served in abundance in The Last Circuit Preacher.
