Gripping, full of suspense and often funny, "Northern Lights" has an all-star cast including Terence Stamp, Emma Fielding, Bill Paterson, Kenneth Cranham and Ray Fearon.

It is now a major motion picture, "The Golden Compass", starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig.
