Dear Lady : The Letters of Frederick Jackson Turner and Alice Forbes Hooper, 1910-1932

Turner, in his time the leading historian of the American frontier, and Hooper, a wealthy and knowledgeable patron, were both involved with the Harvard Commission of Western History.

Over a score of years they exchanged more than 600 letters.

This volume contains about half of them, arranged in seven groupings based on time period.

Each grouping is prefaced by a brief essay.
