"Accessibility" is a term used in the literature of regional and transport research, and this text aims to show perspectives in the accessibility theme as well as on its links with trade and location behaviour. The spatio-temporal changes taking place in transportation and mobility patterns necessitate a complete rethinking of the accessibility concept, conceived as the core of cost-based theories and spatial interaction models.

Of particular interest are research questions, exploring the relationships between accessibility and the space-economy, accessibility and connectivity/functioning of the networks, accessibility and dynamic location effects.

The aim is to investigate the multiplicity of accessibility dimensions, mainly in relation to the dynamic processes of trade and industrial location.
