Learning in the Early Years : A Guide for Teachers

Learning in the Early Years will help early years educators understand the nature, form and content of the curriculum for children aged 3-7 and the most appropriate ways of presenting it.

Using the Early Learning Goals as a conceptual map of physical, intellectual, social, aesthetic and spiritual development throughout the years 3-7, it shows how educators can meet the demands of the curriculum guidance offered by the Early Learning Goals, the statutory requirements of The National Curriculum in KS 1 and the Literacy and Numeracy Strategies.
