Process Dynamics and Control for Chemical, Biochemical and Green Engineers

This book covers the dynamic behaviour, modelling & control of chemical/biochemical/green processes.

Non-linear & linear modeling of lumped-parameter systems, stage-wise processes & distributed-parameter systems are discussed, as are the principles of feedback/feedforward & cascade control of the commonly-encountered systems, such as level, flow, temperature & pressure control.

MATLAB and LabVIEW environments will be used for simulations of dynamic processes and examples of control systems implementation using NI-DAQ.

Advanced topics in process control, such as discrete controllers using z-transformation, multivariable control systems & model-predictive controllers will be discussed.
