Offering practical guidance on the promotion of "race" equality and cultural diversity within the classroom, this book has been created, written and compiled by a working group of teachers and other educationalists brought together by the Runnymede Trust.

It aims to support teachers and other professionals in the implementation of changes to education and classroon practice brought about through the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 and wider educational reform.

This guide seeks to ensure schools' teaching and learning strategies across all subject areas and help prepare schools to meet the new legal requirements.
