What does it mean to be a person after God's own heart?

Is this the honour of the privileged few who are born with holiness in their hormones?

Scripture tells us otherwise. David was described as "a man after God's own heart" but was both favoured and flawed, blessed and broken, holy and human.

The disciples who gathered in the upper room after Jesus' ascension were transformed, by the Holy Spirit, from fearful followers into bold men and women who spoke with confidence of God's saving grace.
