Aspects of the Stuka's role which the book recounts includes the attacks agains the Malta convoys, the retreat in North Africa, the war in the Arctic, the Russian campaign including the battle for Stalingrad, the final phases of the campaign in North Africa and the collapse of the Eastern Front.

In addition, training units are examined and the role of the Ju-87 in the final phases of the war is explored.
