A Short Guide to Managing Asbestos in Premises

This guidance is for people who own, manage or have responsibilities for non-domestic premises which may contain asbestos.

They will have either a legal duty to manage the risk from asbestos, or a duty to co-operate with whoever does.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of asbestos will, under the duty of co-operation, be required to make this available to those responsible for managing these risks.

This guidance will also be useful to people managing asbestos in domestic premises.
