Schliemann of Troy : treasure and deceit

This work draws upon a collection of letters, diaries and other original material in Athens and elsewhere to show that Heinrich Schliemann, the discover of the archaeological remains of Homer's Troy, did indeed distort the archaeological record.

Hoewever, he is also shown as a giant in his field.
