The Evaluation Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) conducts evaluations to capture evaluative evidence of UNDP's overall contribution to development results at the global, regional and national levels and, in particular, its contribution to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Conducted within the framework of the UNDP Evaluation Policy, the Evaluation of UNDP Contribution to Poverty Reduction assesses the role and contribution of UNDP to poverty reduction across the countries where it works.

The evaluation focuses on UNDP's actions at the country level, examining what UNDP has contributed with all its resources including country-level engagement with regional, global and other UNDP programmes.

The evaluation focuses on the period 2000-2010.
