The Invisible Life

Portuguese drama directed by Vítor Gonçalves. Middle-aged bureaucrat Hugo (Filipe Duarte), who lives and works in Lisbon's famous Palace Square, has the monotony of his life shaken up when his mentor António (João Perry) is hospitalised with a terminal illness.

Forced to confront António's imminent death, Hugo, consumed by insomnia, ponders their initial meeting which leads him to re-examine his past relationship with ex-girlfriend Adriana (Maria João Pinho).

As he comes to terms with the events of his life, Hugo is also tasked with sorting out his boss' possessions and discovers some interesting footage he left behind.
