"Read and Learn" is a collection of books that help young readers discover and understand the world around them.

The "What Can" thread emphasises animal action and features animals that may be unusual or unfamiliar to the reader.

The animal's behaviour is explained in answer to such questions as "how does a bat fly?" or "how does a fish swim?".

The book conclude with a section about whether people and machines can also do the actions.
