There comes a time in almost everyone's life when they suddenly have an overwhelmingly brilliant idea.

There are several different factors that contributed to Honeysuckle's brilliant idea, which are: the Lovelaces' continuing lack of funds; her mother's fury at having to let Mrs. Whitely-Grubb's Chihuahua, Cupid, sit on a chair in the salon, while Mrs. W-G has her blue rinse and light perm; Honeysuckle's fondness for dogs - even Cupid, who only just passes for a dog; and a message seen in the tea leaves which clearly said, as far as Honeysuckle could tell, that she and her friends should set up a dogwalking club and make Cupid their first client.

But as Honeysuckle and her friends struggle with the unexpected mayhem lurking within their enterprise, they are also drawn into the lives of their clients - which proves much more interesting than they'd ever imagined!
