Geography Special Needs Support Materials - Bk. 1 : Teachers' Resource Book

This teachers' resource book is designed to support lower-attaining pupils and special needs pupils following National Curriculum Geography in England, Wales and Northern Ireland or who are following Environmental Studies in Scotland.

The book provides a bank of differentiated photocopiable worksheets that can complement existing textbook-based courses in schools, or be a self-contained Geography course in its own right.Pathway two is for lower-achieving pupils who nonetheless can cope with a certain amount of carefully-targeted reading and writing.

The students' picture pack and the teachers' resource book together provide a worksheet-based course.

Pathway three is for pupils who are following a textbook-based course, but who need additional support in the form of differentiated pupil tasks targeted on particular skills, themes or case studies.

This resource book provides such tasks and activities.

The materials place a particular emphasis on group work, collaborative work, manipulative tasks and personal investigation.
