One Cut of the Dead - Hollywood Edition

Double bill of Japanese horror comedies. In 'One Cut of the Dead' (2017), low-budget film-maker Higurashi (Takayuki Hamatsu) is shooting his latest zombie horror feature in an abandoned facility which is rumoured to be haunted.

He is unimpressed with the emotions his actors are portraying, but soon the plot of the film becomes a reality as real zombies start attacking the set.

As the cast and crew fight to survive, Higurashi is determined to keep filming...

The sequel, 'One Cut of the Dead in Hollywood' (2019), takes place six months later.

Survivor Chinatsu (Yuzuki Akiyama) is traumatised by what happened to her and is now working as a waitress in Hollywood, hoping to start a new life.

When zombies suddenly appear, she thinks she is hallucinating, but just like last time, they are real and they are hungry...
