Extensively revised and updated, "Career Discovery Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition" covers a wide spectrum of careers for students who are just beginning to think about their future.

For the sixth edition, each of the more than 700 careers profiled in the previous edition has been updated according to the latest information.

More than 50 new job articles have been added, covering airport security personnel, copy editors, food photographers, geriatric psychiatrists, yoga and Pilates instructors, and more.

This revised edition includes several important new features that align the careers to U.S. government career standards. Volume 1 provides descriptions of the U.S. Department of Education's 16 Career Clusters, and a Career Cluster icon in each job article enables students to read about jobs in the clusters that interest them.

Each article also contains a new Skills Spotlight sidebar, which identifies key skills and competencies for each job as outlined in the U.S.
