Navigating Drama Years 9-10

Navigating Drama is designed for all students studying Drama in Years 9 and 10.

The form and content of the teaching programs included reflects the aims and outcomes of the new NSW Board of Studies Drama 7-10 elective course, though it could be used for syllabuses nationwide.

The core area of playbuilding is supplemented with an in-depth and integrated study of key dramatic contexts to help students navigate their path through making, performing and appreciating drama.

There are in-depth study of Commedia dell'arte and mask work, Melodrama and Australian Melodrama, Australian drama, playwrighting, how to write you own scripts and a comprehensive guide to analyzing, choosing, rehearsing and performing ccripted drama scenes.
