How to Sparkle at Word Level Activities

The "How to Sparkle at..." series contains photocopiable activities to support five to seven-year-olds working at the National Curriculum Key Stage 1 and Scottish National 5-14 Guidelines, levels A and B, and covers a broad range of the work involved in these.

The books have clear black line illustrations, easy to use layout, and straightforward language to make them easy to read and understand. "How to Sparkle at Word Level Activities" has been designed to provide an abundance of activities to use in the 20 minutes of independent work of the literacy hour.

The activities are all fun and aim to motivate children whilst reinforcing the word level work covered by the literacy hour.

Each activity carefully covers learning objectives set out in the National Literacy Strategy.

The sheets can be used on an individual basis or for children working as an independent group.
