Author biography Baljit Nijjar read Business Studies before moving into a career in English as a Second Language.

After teaching in Japan and Indonesia, she lectured at Leeds Metropolitan University for four years and then moved to Cornwall.

She taught English to Speakers of Other Languages at Cornwall College and now focuses on writing ESL materials. She has a Certificate and Diploma in ESL and is also PGCE qualified.

She is Principal Examiner for the Edexcel International GCSE ESL Reading and Writing Paper.
