Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS) is a facilitated video training program aimed at automotive technicians with a basic understanding of electrical circuitry and electronics.

Once the course is completed, technicians will be able to describe basic Supplemental Restraint Systems operation, including the operation of driver, passenger, and side-impact air bag systems.

Technicians will also be able to describe the use of passenger presence detection systems and the operation of the latest generation of "smart" airbag devices that feature multiple-stage deployments depending on the severity of the collision.

Users will also be able to describe the functions of each SRS component demonstrate the proper handling and disposal techniques for air bags, and perform the troubleshooting methods for dealing with SRS using the proper diagnostic equipment and describe the common repair procedures to replace SRS airbag components.
