New touchstones 14-16 - Poetry Anthology for 14-16 Year Olds

This poetry anthology is compiled specifically for 14- to 16-year-old students.

It contains two different approaches to anthologizing poetry: one section contains an anthology of 10 featured poets which provides six key poems by each of six contemporary and four pre-20th-century poets; another section provides a thematic anthology with poems by a host of contemporary and pre-20th-century poets grouped by the theme of the poem.

A teaching section aims to provide students of all abilities with guidance on ways into even the most complex of poems, and information on structure, form and style.

A section is also provided to help students learn the art of comparing and contrasting poems.

There are poems by writers such as Shakespeare, Donne, Wordsworth, Rosetti, Hardy, Larkin, Heaney and Lochhead.
