Since the official journal of the 1889 Wyoming Constitutional Convention proceedings is poorly indexed, the authors provide page references to the journal as well as a full general index.

The volume describes Wyoming's rich and colorful constitutional history, including the 1889 convention, analyzes the continuing and varied stream of constitutional amendments including th 60 that have been approved, and highlights important state supreme court constitutional decisions.
