The optimistc tale of a man who brings a deserted valley back to life by planting trees.

The shepherd, Elzeard Bouffier, starts by collecting and carefully sorting seeds from the few trees that remain and from trees nearby.

As he moves the flock around the valley, he plants the seeds.

This is a story of a modest man who did something truly remarkable.

This book will take advantage of World Forestry Day on the 21st March 2013 and will be used to help promote awareness of the value of forests everywhere.
