This book will provide the family law practitioner with the annotated texts of the major primary and secondary legislation applying to adoption in Northern Ireland, conveniently collected in one volume.

In addition to annotating the principal Adoption (NI) Order 1987, the author has added annotations of the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act (NI) 2001, Order 84 of the Rules of the Supreme Court (NI), the Adoption Agencies Regulations (NI) 1989 and the Adoption of Children from Overseas Regulations (NI) 2002.

Throughout he has used reported and unreported Northern Ireland authorities which are not found in the standard text books of the law of adoption in England and Wales.
