Adam/BC Interactive Physiology Urinary Module (Win/MAC Hybrid)

Part of the ADAM S. series
See all formats and editions

Part of a series of interactive stand-alone modules for CD-ROM designed to help students in understanding the complex concepts and processes in human physiology.

Designed to complement the anatomical information found in the ADAM Standard, each module provides an anatomy review that is relevent to the physiology being discussed, and uses sound and graphic animation and video to produce the animated representation of cellular and molecular events.

To facilitate the interpretation of graphical information, animations and graphs are placed side-by-side and to emphasize important concepts and clarify points that are the most challenging, video clips of the tutor Elaine Mareib appear from time to time.

Topics demonstrate concepts that involve movement, change over time, and correlate multiple events occuring simultaneously.

Hot words can be clicked on for definitions and further information and interactive quizzes encourage critical thinking and review.

This module focuses on the urinary system. Hardware requirements are: Macintosh 68030, 68040, power PC, system 7.0, 8 MB RAM, monitor Windows 486SX, 33 MHz processor, Windows 3.1 or higher, 8 MB RAM, 1 MB free hard disk, mouse or other pointing device, double-speed CD-ROM drive, SVGA 14" colour monitor, 640 x 480 resolution, 8-bit colour depth (256 colours), MPC - compatible sound card.
