Hands on Sociology : Using Computers to Do Sociology

This workbook includes a student version of "The Microcase Analysis System", a user-friendly social science software, and is designed as a supplement in introductory sociology courses, research methods courses and social problems courses.

It allows the student to manipulate variables from the 1990 and 1991 General Social Surveys and, at a basic level, begin to understand the quantitative aspects of sociology.

Topics for explanation include race and ethnic relations and urbanization.

A student answer disk included with the Instructor's Manual allows introductors to quickly combine and review all student assignments.
