WHO Medicines Bookshelf

This CD-ROM contains a selection of over 250 publications (more than 16,000 pages), in English, French and Spanish, dealing with essential medicines.

The publications included cover the whole field of interest of WHO's Department of Essential Drugs and Medicines Policy (EDM), including access to essential medicines, rational use of drugs, national drug policy, quality and safety of medicines and traditional medicine.

The CD-ROM also contains a mirror of the EDM website (totally 315 MB), that can be accessed by clicking the "EDM mirror" button from the entry screen.

This provides the opportunity for users in developing countries, who lack a fast Internet connection, to browse the site at their own leisure.
