Parents should try and inculcate in their children the spirit of hardwork, and not acquiring all the wealth for them. Providing all the luxuries of life for children makes them not struggle to make it in life and consequently, such children hardly adjust very well in difficult situations that arise in life. His children rested on his laurels and were not ambitious. He therefore made himself scarce by relocating to his home town. Not seeing their father around them, they shifted for themselves.
