Zora Neale Hurston

Zora Neale Hurston was a novelist, anthropologist, folklorist, and playwright who captured the true essence of African-Americans in the early twentieth century.

Although her career was short lived and she died penniless and forgotten, Hurston is remembered today as one of America's greatest writers.
