Leo is a friendly little lion who loves to play with their friends! But, when Leo plays too rough all of thier friends run away! How will Leo get thier friends to come play again? With a little encouragement from Big Cat, (Leo's Caregiver) Leo knows just what to do to make things right again!

This book is the first of a new series designed to help your toddler navigate social and emotional development using positive parenting practices. Tumble in the Jungle uses examples of hitting, scratching, and hair pulling with an emphasis on how to make it right with your friends by using problem-solving skills, listening to others, saying sorry, hugging, and taking a deep breath.

Ashley is a child development specialist, who has over ten years of experience working in the early education field with a focus on Reggio Emilia philosophy. When looking for books about children hitting, biting, and other behavioral phases Ashley couldn't find any books that she liked. She noticed a pattern with all of the books she found would either tell children that 'biting is not okay' with no real follow-up, or they would simply redirect the behavior.

Ashley wanted a book that would focus on the social development of the child. Learning to say sorry, listening to others, and teaching children how to make amends.

Biting, hitting, and other physical behaviors are normal but unacceptable, behaviors that all children go through. Ashley wanted a book that would address this issue in a realistic and positive way. So she decided to make one herself!

We hope that Tumble in the Jungle is just the right book for your little lion to learn to be gentle with thier paws. We want these books to help you and your child to overcome these phases and then pass them on to other friends and family members as they pass through these (slightly painful) parts of life. Thank you for reading!
