The Bible Revealed in 10 Stories

In the first two chapters of Genesis, God created the world and it was very good. In the third chapter of Genesis, Adam and Eve eat of the forbidden tree and the whole natural creation becomes fallen, cursed, under the power of sin, and separated from God. Evil entered the world through Satan whose one goal was to take down the human race, the pinnacle of God's creation. All seemed lost.

But God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son to redeem us from the curse and bring us back into an intimate relationship with Him on earth and eternity with Him in heaven. Genesis 3:15 is the promise of a Messiah who will do exactly that, a Savior who will replace all the sinfulness of the world with His Spirit, His grace, and His goodness.

The rest of the Bible, every last chapter and every last verse, is the history of that promise throughout the Old Testament and the fulfillment of it with the advent, life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ - and an additional promise of His Second Coming.

This books traces the fall from grace of mankind through Adam; the fulfillment of the promise through Noah, Abraham, King David, the Virgin Mary, and John the Baptist; the spreading of the gospel through Peter and Paul; and the revelation of the Second Coming through John the Apostle.

The stories of these ten people chosen by God to fulfill His promises and covenants reveal that God was always able to find just the right person to carry out His work here on earth. The nine righteous chosen people after Adam are notable for their willingness and passion to do exactly what God wanted done, until the Son of Man arrived on the scene to fulfill all the promises and covenants of the Old Testament.
