Translating the Networked City : Urban Infrastructures in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam

This book contributes to postcolonial urban and technology studies by analysing the translation of urban planning ideals through the lens of urban infrastructure in East Africa.

By drawing on recent work on the networked city, and by conceptualising the translation of this travelling urban and technological ideal, it explores how place-based processes of adaptation and creativity shape the provision of infrastructure services.
