Throughout the United Kingdom and Scandinavia demographic, economic and social changes have contributed to growing demand and need for many children's services, as well as new expectations of their delivery.

This book examines the changes which are affecting children's services in the United Kingdom and Scandinavia.

A wide range of services providing care, protection, education, health and recreation for children are covered, with examples drawn from the United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
