In 'The Offering' a curvaceous young nymph is offered as a sacrifice to a carnivorous mythical monster, only for rescue to come in an unlikely form. 'The Bonfires of St. John' tells of the voyeuristic misadventures of a Middle Ages virgin. 'The Ceremony' is set in Venice at the beginning of the 20th century, when a young pregnant woman joins her lover during a mysterious Venetian masquerade ball.
