Phonics for Reading Set 2 Evaluation Pack contains one of each children's book from Becoming a Reader and Towards Independence Phonics for Reading Set 2 (40 titles).

The pack provides systematic coverage of all NLS phonics requirements for Year 2, and will allow children to investigate spelling patterns recommended in the NLS guidelines.

Children will learn the relationship between spelling patterns and the pronunciation of words, focus on developing strategies for reading unrecognised words and develop familiarity with letter patterns which represent all long vowel phonemes.

The titles cover a range of genres including fantasy, traditional tales, poetry, narrative recounts, and stories with familiar settings.
