Interest in the biology and culturing of freshwater crayfish has grown considerably in the last decade, in part because of the general worldwide growth in aquaculture.

Yet apart from conference proceedings, there exists no comprehensive volume reviewing this topic worldwide.

The purpose of this book is to fill this gap, by bringing together contributions from international experts on crayfish biology and the culture of species of economic importance.
