Sharing Our World 5 - Teacher's Book (Rev ed)

"Sharing Our World Revised Edition" has been fully revised in consonance with the 1999 Uganda Primary School Curriculum.

Comments and suggestions from teachers using the course have also been included. The Pupil's Books are illustrated with colour photographs, artwork and maps.

They contain a variety of questions and activities for both individual and group work. A detailed Teacher's Book is available at each level of the course.

Each book has practical guidance with the emphasis firmly on a hands-on approach to the teaching of social studies.

This ranges from detailed lesson plans to instructions making teaching resources and advice on organizing many different pupil activities.

Particularly useful is the wealth of background information contained in each book and the suggestions for further activities. The course has been written by experienced teachers of Social Studies, thus ensuring that it is relevant and practical for the teaching of social studies in Uganda.

It covers the following major skills: presenting information; organizing information; map skills; reading text with understanding; interpreting pictures and diagrams; problem solving approaches.
