The author is engaged in the literature work in the Provincial Public Library of Yunnan Province.

When he studied Li Xiaoyuan's Yunnan Bibliography in his early years, he became interested in the Western bibliography, so he began to search and study the original records about the exploration activities of Westerners in Yunnan according to the pictures. Because the relevant materials are complex and hard to see, it takes time to collect and study the materials.

This process continues until the author reads the doctor's degree, so the research content will be selected as the topic of the doctoral thesis.
