Target Tracker Book 4: Assessment and Target Setting for Writing Spiral bound : Working within Levels 4 and 5

Target Tracker for Writing is an assessment and target setting resource for infant and junior levels.

The focus of the materials is to improve children's writing through careful assessing, targeting and tracking of key writing skills, using SAT level descriptors as a base.

The materials comprise one tabletop flipover book for each SAT level (1-4/5) and are intended for use during 20 minutes guided group work in the Literacy Hour.

Each book contains fiction and non-fiction units, with easy to use A, B, C differentiation.

Units comprise one A3 text extract, A4 teacher's page and A4 photocopiable worksheet.

The idea for Target Tracker has come from INSET sessions in schools.

The author has been writing a monthly workshop for 'Child Education' magazine since September 2000.

The workshop adopts the same approach as Target Tracker and is always in the 'Reader's Panel' top 3 useful articles.
