See all formats and editions

This training resource pack supports practitioners working with children from birth to three years in developing high quality provision and practice, in order to meet the needs of our youngest children more effectively.

This pack: explains the key characteristics of children from birth to three in an accessible way; enables practitioners to ground their practice in what is important to babies and toddlers; encourages practitioners to reflect on and review the quality of their provision and extend their knowledge; and, affirms and builds on practitioners' existing knowledge.

Developed in partnership with skilled practitioners, the pack covers key aspects of research and theory and includes examples of good practice and observations of children from birth to three.

The video illustrates instances of good practice and provides material for practitioners to analyse and discuss as a precursor to evaluating their own settings. "Key Times: A Framework for Developing High Quality Provision for Children from Birth to Three" is an essential resource for anyone working with, or training others to work with, children from birth to three.
