Broadly grouped in four sections: the features of a dictionary and how to navigate and understand your dictionary; the origins of English - how English has been created and is constantly changing; how words are formed including prefixes, suffixes and compound words; and how to use words effectively when writing today. he activities are carefully levelled - there is a 'Starting Off' and a 'Moving Forward' activity on every page - so that more able users are encouraged to tackle both levels. Self assessment scoring mechanisms enable users to see their success for themselves.
