Society & You

This is one of a series of two books developed to provide a comprehensive, progressive and adaptable programme of study for the Environment Studies 5-14 Attainment Outcome "Understanding People in Society", to enable pupils in Scotland to learn about the human needs of individuals and to understand how family and local, UK-wide and worldwide communities come together to help meet these needs.

The book includes case studies, and suggests pupil activities which provide a variety of approaches to learning and help develop Attainment Target skills.The series is comprehensive in that it covers all relevant Key Features and Strands as defined in the Environmental Studies 5-14 National Guidelines published by the Scottish Office Education and Industry Department.
