Seaside Holidays

This CD-ROM for whiteboard use is an electronic version of Seaside Holidays from the hugely successful Start-Up History series. The CD is easy to navigate and allows the user to move from the contents screen to any page. It also offers an interactive glossary and index and website links. A zoom facility allows close-up views of critical elements, and a scroll facility allows the user to move over large areas. This CD-ROM helps you to identify the similarities & differences between seaside holidays taken today and those taken in the past. Children are introduced to period-specific aspects of holidays, geographical seaside features and seaside vocabulary. Using contemporary and historical photographs, discover the past, with topics such as when we take holidays, how we travel to the seaside, and what we wear to go swimming.
