This series looks behind the scenes at animal rescue and placement, showing how abused or neglected animals are looked after in animal sanctuaries, and how new homes are found for them.

Each title concentrates on one animal through its life at a rescue centre, explains how it came to be there, then follows its placement in a new home.

The books also explain how children can help by 'adopting' a rescued animal, how they can provide a new home for a rescued animal, and what they need to do to keep their pets happy and healthy.
