Sequencing Sounds is a sound and picture matching activity.

It involves the recognition of short sound sequences.

The pack includes a CD-ROM containing the forty individual sounds, and forty matching laminated photocards.

Each step of every sequence is illustrated. Each sequence is played once and is separated from the next sequence by a pause.

There is a shorter pause between the individual sounds of a sequence, except where no pause occurs in reality.

In this case, the sounds run on. The sequences are well known and familiar to most students.

Two-step sequences include: cleaning teeth; birthday cake candles; and, alarm clock.

Three step sequences include: having breakfast; playing percussion instruments; and, having a drink.
